Taylored Expressions August Blast from the Past Blog Hop

I am very excited to be part of the TE Blog Hop this month!  I didn't get to participate last month.  The theme this month is "Collectors Anonymous"...time to use up those precious items we collect!  I have chosen RIBBON as my collection item.  It is a really simple card, but I am pleased with the results.  Thanks for looking:

Items used:  All paper from Taylored Expressions "July Kit".  The green and pink ribbon are also from the July Kit.  The rose teal ribbon is from my STASH...LOVE THIS!  Sentiment came from Taylored Expressions "It's in the Bag" stamp set.  Stamped with Teal Stazon.

Now it is time to take a look at the rest of the Blog Hop folks samples - ENJOY!

Welcome to the Taylored Expressions BLAST FROM THE PAST Blog Hop!

I am so excited to be part of this Blog Hop!  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE - Taylored Expressions Stamps!

So on to my cards for the Blog Hop!

The Theme for this Hop is OLD GLORY! - using Red White and Blue but it did not have to be patriotic.  That is good because I don't have any older stamps from Taylored Expressions that are related to patriot holidays and stuff...I have the new set, but this is a BLAST FROM THE PAST and we are using older stamps in new ways!

This stamp set is Taylored Expressions - Hangin' Out-At the Beach

I LOVE this set, even used it for my hubby's Father's Day Card!  Sorry, back to details of the card--

Card is a white cardstock base - 4.25 x 5.5
The light blue cardstock is Stampin' Up - Pool Party
The light blue stamp (flower) is Baja Breeze
The rest of the paper except the white came from the Bob Bunny - Liberty Collection 6x6 pad
I used 2 border punches - red dot paper - ek success; white paper - Martha Stewart
I had some twine in my stash for the clothes line - don't you love the little clothes pins?--the are stamps in this set too!-precious!
The black stamp pad was Memento Tuexedo Black ME-900
The bling on this card is Colorbok-Woodhaven Rhinestone Strips, not only the line under the swim suit, but also for the middle of the flowers

Oh...here is the inside:  (this sentiment is from the Taylored Expressions-Chillax set)

Now I had the above card almost finished when Taylor announced that there is a Sketch by Sankari Wegman that we could use if we needed inspiration.  I couldn't resist making another card with this sketch...

I turned the sketch on it's side so I could use this stamp set.  This is a tiny card...3.5x5.  Iam soooo proud of this card!  I think I did a good job on the coloring with copics and the colors just pop off the page!

Here are the details:
White cardstock base and behind the colored papers
All of the paper came from We R Memory Keepers Yankee Doodles 6x6 paper pad
The ribbon above the cute little drink was from my stash, both the blue stripe and the red rick rack
The Bling is from My Mind's Eye-fine and dandy-tickled pink--love it in the center of the kiwi
OK, so this time I will list the copics used---the pretty red drink is made with R29 & YR18; the glass is C1; the umbrella-B69 and R29; the kiwi-YG21 and YG23; finally the straw is B34
I added a little bling via ink - Gelly Roll Sakura Clear Star - to the kiwi and around the sentiment, on top of the stamp image box
The stamped images were done in Memento Tuxedo Black ME-900
I did not take a photo of the inside of this card, but used scraps of the colored papers at the bottom

I had sooooo much fun with this Blog Hop!  Can't wait to see everyone else's cards!
Here they are:

New Cards...Not the Blog Hop just yet...See this page on later today-Thursday @ 10:00!

If you are reading this...you are up way too late with me--I am excited about being part of the Blog Hop from Taylored Expressions and wanted to play with my setting and see what I could do to set up my stuff for tomorrow.

I do have several new photos of cards I have been working on that I want to share:

This came from a challenge on Splitcoast Stampers. It is sponsored by the Stamp Company:  My Favorite Things - mftstamps.com

I used the brand new Wisteria Wonder (lavendar) paper from Stampin' Up for the base of my card.  The card measures 4.25 x 5.5 (using 1/2 of an 8.5x11 sheet).
The rest of the paper for this card came from the 6x6 pad:  Sweet Fairy Collection from Prima.
I followed the sketch and this is my finished card!
The sentiment stamp is one I have had for quite a while...Studio G.
I used my Cuttlebug for the Sizzix Flourish.
The ribbon was in my stash, not sure what brand but I purchased at Crafty Scrapper by the yard.
The large flower is a Sculpture Flower from Prima.  I love these---come in a package of 18!
I used my copic markers for the flowers and leaves on the sentiment.

For this card I used a new stamp set from Taylored Expressions - 4th of July Wreath
I used a paper pad from We R Memory Keepers - Yankee Doodles 6x6
Items from my stash include the base of the card (blue), 3 different ribbons and the red base of the quilt pattern.

This was just for fun for me!

I did this card for a Challenge and now I can't remember which one...LOL!  If anyone has hints on how to keep up with all the Challenges out there and manage my time...please leave a comment!  I really could use some time management!

I LOVE this stamp set from Unity- the line of clothes and sand castle are part of the June Unity Stamp Company Kit of the Month.  Lotz of really cute stamps!
I also love the sentiment from Taylored Expressions set - A Day in Paradise (great summer stamps too)!
The 6x6 paper pad is from Bo Bunny-Ad Lib Collection (love the colors).
I used my Spellbinders with my Cuttlebug for the sentiment and orange around the sentiment.
Oh, and I colored these with my copics...really fun-like being a little girl with a color book again!

Well...that is all I have for tonight, see you at 10:00 Central time in the morning!

Hope you like!

Another new card...did a Color Challenge on this one!

I wasn't too sure about the colors for this challenge on Splitcoast Stampers but really like the outcome!

Trying to learn how to do a watermark on my photos...if you have any advice, please let me know!

This card was made from a premade 4.25 x 5.5 blue cardstock card from Micheal's.
I used a paper pad I had in my stash - Debbie Mumm-Noah's Ark.
The Welcome Baby and Banner Stamp are from Taylored Expressions.
The Elephant Stamp is Stamping Up.
I used the Circle and Scallop Circle Dies from Spellbinders.
The Taylored Expressions Banner Die 3 was used for the banner.
Embossed the dark blue cardstock with Cuttlebug large dots using my Cuttlebug.
The dark blue and purple cardstock was from my stash along with the buttons.

This card was used for 2 challenge on Splitcoast Stampers:
TESC139 and CC325

Hope you enjoy viewing my creative works...

I thought we would have Baby Ducks for EASTER!

See momma's feet above the rock wall---NO WAY these little guys can make it up there, they are only about a day old! (Audrey took this shot!)

This side has a much shorter wall, so they all make it up! (Another one taken by my precious Audrey!)

Make room for me!  (Audrey took this one too!)

This may be my favorite shot!  (Taken by Audrey!)

Momma was mad cuz I got too close!  (I got to take the ones of them in the water)

See the one hiding in the back? (Taken by me...Audrey's are cuter!)

Today I begin a new adventure...My very own Blog!

Wow, I decided to try this to see if I can accomplish my own Blog.  Seems as though if I want to pursue my passion of papercrafting, I NEED a blog, so here goes...
